Absegami Interact Club's support for orphanage in Dominican Republic

Absegami’s Interact Club filled 20 shoe-box sized Tupperware containers with Christmas gifts for orphanages at the Hogar Escuela Armondo Home & School in the Dominican Republic on Thursday, Nov. 19.

Absegami’s Interact members hosted Monstrous Musical Chairs in between the Absegami Step Team’s performances of Zombie Fest in the Performing Arts Center during student Council’s Hallway Halloween on Oct. 29.

Help spread Christmas Cheer to orphans

To all Interact Clubs, Interactors and Interact Advisors:

 

As an orphan, living in Santo Domingo, the Dominican Republic, you learn not to expect too much from life.  Each day is an adventure and at the same time somewhat predictable.

What do you say, we add some spice to the holiday season for 150 orphans at the Armando Rosenberg Home and School in Santo Domingo.  We need several Interact Clubs to adopt 25 – 50 orphans each and provide about $5.00 worth of small (very small) gifts to age specific children.

Each year Rotary District 7640 sends a large container to the orphanage with food, clothing and other supplies. This year we are inviting our Interact Clubs to become involved in supplying a little joy to our little people in the Caribbean.

Please discuss this with your club and act quickly. Our deadline is only weeks away.
