The 2009 Interact district mid-year assembly was held on Saturday, Jan 24th. The program had a good turnout. About 51 students came and had a good time. Chuck Donovan and his son Chip did a great job with the web site.
Joel talked about the orphanage and Ralph Owen gave a nice welcome and sat in on the advisers seminar, which went very well. Lisa Schiamanna talked about the COPE course coming up and Chuck talked about RYLA.
We then did the 25 minute break-out groups on the following topics - UN Day (by Kaitlynn Hample), Youth Exchange (by Jack Kammer), Game Room (Joel Kopke), Interact Website & Facebook Page (by Chip Donovan), Idea Sharing (by Melanie Druziako), and Interact Adviser Training (by Lisa Sciamanna & Kathy Genzano). All sessions went well and the hypnotist at the end was great. Everyone had a great time.
